The current state
Most small and mid-sized Pakistani hospitals still track bed occupancy on a board at the nursing station. Nobody outside that room knows what is free, admissions get double-booked, and a discharge can go hours before the bed is released for the next patient.
Bed charges, doctor visits, medicines issued from the hospital pharmacy and lab tests are recorded in separate registers, then added up manually on discharge day. Anything missed is simply never billed, and disputes at the counter are routine.
A patient seen in OPD on Monday and admitted on Thursday is often entered twice, with no link between the consultation notes and the admission file.

Quoted prices in Pakistan range widely — roughly PKR 5,000 to 10,000 per month for subscription products, and PKR 45,000 to 50,000 for one-time-licence systems before maintenance. No. SehatDoc is cloud-based and runs in an ordinary web browser, so there is no on-site server, no per-machine installation and no separate backup arrangement to maintain. Staff can open it from the reception counter, the nursing station or a doctor’s own laptop.
Yes. Each unit type carries its own daily rate, and when a patient is transferred between unit types the new rate applies from the point of transfer, so a mixed-stay bill is calculated correctly without manual adjustment.
SehatDoc needs a connection for live data, but the pharmacy module keeps working through short outages and syncs when the connection returns. For a hospital we recommend a backup connection, as you would for any cloud system.
